John Lee b. 1800 abt. according to the census records in South Carolina . The wife named on the census records are Winnefred C. ( Winney C. ) b. 1810 abt. in North Carolina . Here is some quick info on Winney C. all i know realy . Winney was about ten years younger then John so she was probably his second wife . The census says her father came from France and her mother from Virginia ,but she was born in North Carolina . it seems the C. middle intial was handed down two more generations cause Winney and John's oldest daughter was Martha C. Lee, Haywood ,and she had a daughter named Martha C. Haywood (Mattie for short) The only descendant i have spoke to of Mattie Haywood who married into the woodman family says she thinks the C. was Clementine. Back to the family John Lee b. 1798-1800 SC moved family to Georgia were most of his , and Winney C. children were born . James Lee b. 1832 is born in South Carolina and is the oldest of the children that i know of Croel F. Lee is b. 1836 in Georgia . he served in the civil war. Boring lee b. 1837 in Georgia . the only place i find this young man is on the Talladega co. Alabama 1850 census . makes me wonder if he wasn't dead by the next census report. i have searched for him with no results. Martha C. Lee b 1843 in Georgia .Martha C. Married Asoam Haywood her children that i have record of where Francis O. Haywood 1864 Joe Emmis Haywood. b. 1866 Martha C. ( Mattie) Haywood. b. 1871 Nancy . S Haywood b. 1875 Buddy Haywood b. 1877 Babe Haywood b. 1879 this is according to the 1880 Walker co.census records that i have a copy of from the heritage library in Jasper the co. seat of Walker co. Alabama the youngest child of John Lee and Winney C. is Mary Anne Lee. b. 1848 in Alabama probably Talladega co. since she isn't very old . Found Perry co. Alabama in 1870 living with her father on his farm and husband Jackson Crow was labor. I later found out through a descendantof hers his full name was Rueben Jackson Crow . if any of these names fit your family please contact us .We would love to put this family back together . Seems through the generations we have forgotten one another. Notify Administrator about this message?
