Jesse died in Montgomery Co., Ala.,
leaving no widow nor children. Bennett Williams, his brother, petitioned the court in Alabama to allow him to sell the land and slaves. The heirs he petitioned on behalf of were;
Mother: Sarah Williams in Robertson Co. Tn.
Brothers and Sisters:
David Williams Robt. Co., Tn.
Lydia Williams Robt. Co. ,Tn.
Parthenia Williams Robt. Co,. Tn.
Mary Williams Robt. Co. Tn.
John Jackson and wife Elizabeth Jackson formerly Elizabeth Williams of Robt. Co., Tn.
Solomon Williams of Green Co., Mo.
Bennett Williams of Montgomery Co., Alabama
Filed 1858
============================================
1850 Census of Montogomery County Ala.
Dwelling #1192
Jesse Williams age 40 Grocer born in N.C.
Bennett Williams age 31 Grocer born in N.C.
===========================================
They may have had an uncle Bennett there as a Bennett lived near them.
A nice person emailed me some material on them and they could have lived in Georgia for a time. Bennett must have remained in ALA. as no files are on him in Tenn.
If you can help me locate my gr grandfather's family, I'd appreciate it.

Thank you,
Nancy W. Lewis
