I am looking for proof (SAR proof) of the father of Walter Matthews (b. 28 May 1805, d. 25 Jun 1863, buried Brilliant, Marion County, AL, married Mary Elizabeth "Poly" Underwood). I have seen references to Walter Matthews (b. 1772, d. 1827, Walker County, AL, married Jane Smith). Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
