NOTICE OF SUBSTITUTION
The State of Alabama, Marion County
Probate Court of said county
Special Term, Jan. 17, 1889
Came FRANCIS LEWIS and filed her application in writing and under oath, with copies of all the papers, proceedings, books and records, of the marriage of PRYOR LEWIS and FRANCIS LOWE, and alleging that marriage license was issued by JOHN D. TERRELL, Judge of Probate for said county on the 7th day of November 1861, for the marriage of the said PRYOR LEWIS and FRANCIS LOWE, and that said license was executed on said 7th day of November 1861, and that said license was duly returned into the Probate Court and that said license, books and records have been destroyed by fire and asking for substitution thereof as records of this county. It is therefore ordered that Monday the 11th day of Feb. 1889 be set for hearing said applications, at which time all parties in interest can appear and contest the same if they think proper.
