Vibra Luvercie "Miss Pat" Peterson Justice, 88, died Dec. 28, 2008, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born in Marion County, Ala. on Feb. 8, 1920, to the late Marvie and Arvilla Palmer Peterson. She grew up in the Hamilton area, lived much of her adult life in the Atlanta, Ga. area and moved to the Tupelo area in 1982. She worked as a seamstress for Joyner-Fields Garment Company before retiring and becoming a housewife living near her children in the Furrs Community. She was a Baptist and a great mother and grandmother who enjoyed cooking and making quilts for her family. She will be sorely missed.
Services were at the Tupelo Chapel of Holland-Harris Funeral Directors with burial in the Hamilton, Ala. Memory Gardens.
Survivors included her children, Elizabeth Woods of Conyers, Ga., Wayne Justice (Betty) of Furrs, Betty Ann McNulty of Furrs, Ken Justice (Sherry) of Danville, Ind. and David Justice of the Furrs Community; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Doyle Peterson (Mary Nell), Elvis Peterson and Gene Peterson (Vivian), both of Hamilton, Ala.; two sisters, Viola Gomillion of Hamilton, Ala. and Dallas Pipkins of Adrian, Mich.; her special friend and her deceased grandson's wife, Pam Woods of Fulton; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orlan David "O.D." Justice who died Aug. 12, 1995; a young son, Jimmy Justice; and a grandson, James Wayne "Jimmy" Woods.
