Abraham and Sarah Bird, Marengo Co, AL

I'm hoping to find someone who knows what happened to the descendants of this couple--I know from a work by Craig W. Smith, that some of them moved to Texas. In Abraham's Bible, there was a son, Jesse W. Bird, listed as born in 1806. He is the right age to be my Jesse W. Byrd who appeared in Covington County, MS, and married Elizabeth Lott ca 1833. I can't prove that he's the same Jesse W., however. This Abraham Bird family migrated through Telfair County, and Elizabeth Lott's parents were married in Telfair County (and she was born a year later). There is a lot of circumstantial evidence that these two Jesse W.'s could be the same, but no proof. If anyone can prove this (or disprove it by showing that a Jesse W. was still in Marengo County in later years), that'd be greatly appreciated.
