I am a great-great-great granddaughter of Catherine Mayton who married John David Grantham. I had info that David Grantham died at Bridgeport, Al in the war.
I may stand to be corrected. I have never seen anything that J.D.G was buried at Straw Plains, Tn. I believe it may be Joseph Alston Rogers who is buried at Straw Plains. At least that's who we put the marker for.
Catherine Mayton married J. D. Grantham and J.S.R. married CAtherine Barnes. Occasionally they are mixed up.
I would love to hear from you if you have info on Grantham or Flowers.

Joseph Alston Rogers and Catherine Elizabeth Barnes Rogers were the parents of Joseph Holmes Rogers. He married Sarah Grantham, daughter of David Grantham and Caterine Mayton Grantham. JAR is buried in Straw Plains, JHR and Sarah Grantham Rogers are buried at Aimwell.
