O Thank You so very much Jay, for that information.
I knew that I had searched for Mary Elizabeth Skinner's parents & the best that I could find was Elizabeth Curtis & Asa Dunlap Skinner.

I had come across this since I had posted though, that was a strong indication.

Extracts from Marengo County ledger books in the W. S. Hoole Collection at the University of Alabama
in Tuscaloosa:
Chancery Records Spring 1837 to Spring 1858<http://pages.prodigy.net/bdboyd/book4628.htm>in Book 4628

Your information is very much appreciated.

I have another question, maybe you will also know.
Would you happen to know when Mary Elizabeth Skinner Agee died & where? I do know that she was alive & in the household of her son William Lawrence in 1910 in Jefferson County, Al.
But, I have not been able to locate anything of her after that.

Thank You cousin
