Early WHITE Family 1820-1860 Marengo County

My ancestor Archibald A. White was born in 1828 in Marengo County, Alabama - according to his 1906 tombstone in Coleman County, Texas. I believe that I have found "Archie" in the 1850 census in the household of "Cam G. White" (aka Carmon, Camron, Caimm) who earlier resided in Rutherford County, Tennessee. I have absolutely no information on Archibald A. White's ancestry. I am aware of a Marengo County marriage record which identifies him as the intended groom and a woman whose surname was Hardy as the intended bride. Evidently, this marriage was never solemnized as the license was returned (unused?). My records indicate that Archie's wife was Mary A. Buford (1831-1901) who was also a native of Alabama. Archie executed a Confederate soldier's pension application in Texas in 1900, and referenced his service with the 8th Mississippi (no further specifics given). I am most interested in communicating with anyone who has knowledge of the early White family in Marengo County, circa 1820-1860, and anyone who may have information about the family of Cam G. White. Thank you for reading.
