Hi Eugenia,
This info may help or confuse you: Mary Anderson is my 3rd gr grandmother and Reuben B. is her son. You will note on the census that one Stephen E. Smith is listed in the household of Reuben. I think he is brother to your Madison and William. I found marriage record (license only, no return) of Jesse M. Anderson, Mary's son, to one Dorothea Smith, dated 1828, but that is before births of the three boys, ca. 1834, 38, and 40. Haven't figured it out yet, but maybe date of 1828 is a mistake. Email an address and I'll send what info I have.
