Linda! Seems like I gave you directions to the Briar Fork cemetary not the Cole Holloway cemetary (sorry I thought i was right at the time I posted the message.)I have since figured out were the Cole Holloway cemetary is .I was in that area today so I figured I would see if I could find the cemetery. The best way I can tell you to get there from Franklin is to take I-65 to exit 1 go left on highway 7 to Ardmore go past K F C and turn left on highway 110 going east follow 110 for several miles and go through Taft and continue for a few more miles.Watch for Fowler rd. on the right.Follow this rd. for few miles crossing into Alabama .In Alabama Fowler rd. becomes Butter and egg rd. Follow Butter and egg rd.till it intersecs with Ready section Rd.Go straight across Ready section to Miller McCannin rd.The cemetary will be in the front yard of the first house on the left. There is only three standing markers in the cemetary One is Sally (Holland) Holloway wife of Joseph Holloway died in 1871 .2'nd is either G. O. or G. D. Cole which needs to be cleaned so it can be read easier. The 3rd one may be able to be read if cleaned also. The cemetary is roughly 50 ft. deep by 100 ft. wide and you can tell there is several other graves there.
A rewal nice man by the name of Bud McCannin said that he and a friend was cleaning out a thicket( 20 some odd years ago) when they discovered it was a cemetary. He said that there was some Wooden markers that was decendigrated. but he could remember one with the name Cole on it. Also I saw a few stone markers that was partially covered. I am sure that there are some there that is compleately covered.Mr. McCannin 's daughter lives in the house were the cemetary is and he lives in the next house. He is areal nice person and says his daughter does'nt mind people stoping at the cemetary.I hope that this info can help you.
