A clip from 1850 census records in Macon Co. Al.
there were only 4 Connells listed.
328/326 M.M.Connell 26 farmer NC, Emly(Emily) 17 student NC, Bazel Newbold 18 student NC, & "Malindin (?) 25,Female, NC The names were hard to read and I'm not certain of Bazel or Malindin, but Bazel or Basil was sometimes used for males. I don't know if Newbold was a surname, or a given name.
I (Millie) believe that Emily , Basil Newbold and Malindin were all Mims. I am interested in any information of the above.
Emily MIMS m. M.M.Connell (my gr-grandfather) listed above, March 12, 1850..
Millie
