Jethro Walker's Parents?
Posted by: Charles Patrick (ID *****6023) Date: May 22, 2007 at 11:52:48

My gggf was Jethro Walker who was born in Putnam County, Ga. Feb. 18, 1808. He died in Macon Co. Al. in 1858. I'm trying to find who Jethro's father was. Some information says it was Nathaniel Walker and his mother was Phoebe Browning. I can not seem to find evidence to prove this. The name of James Walker has also been mentioned as a possibility.

Jethro was a fairly successful person in Auburn, Macon Co, Al.
He owned a plantation, land, slaves, mills.
I would assume that his parents were people of means in Putnam Co. Ga., but that is just an assumption on my part.

Looking for any help with this Walker family?

Thanks
