I have a Catherine Fannie (Katie) ROBERTS b.1836 in Macon Co., AL and married to Richard Judson SWEARINGEN also of Macon Co., AL. They married 14-Feb-1856 in LaPlace, Macon Co., AL and that 10 of their 11 children born there. Katie's mon's initials were : A. H. Her dad died prior to 1872 as he is not mentioned in a letter that R.J. wrote in Dec. 1872 back to his mother-in-law in Macon Co. Their children were :
1. Alfred H. b./d. Nov 1857
2. Charles E. b./d. Sept 1858
3. James L.R., b. Oct. 1859, m. 19-Jul-1877 in Corsicana, Navarro Co., TX to M.E. Bettie LYND. He died bef. 22-April-1933 as he is not mentioned in his sister's obit, but was found on the 1930 Wharton Co., TX Fed. Census.
4. Ida Elizabeth, b. 1-Aug-1860 & m. 22-Dec-1878 in Corsicana, TX to James Albert STORY. She died 3-July-1919 in Enis, Ellis Co., TX
5. Frnacis A. b./d. Jun 1861
6. Katie b./d. Feb. 1864
7. Robert Judson, b. Jan 1867 & d. 1901 in Navarro Co., TX
8. John L., b./d. Feb. 1868
9. Edward L., b. March 1870 & m. 1896 to Jeannette RUSH of Barbour Co., AL. He died April 1966 in Corpus Christi, Nueces Co., TX per the SSI Death Index
10. Adaline Love, b. 2-Feb-1871, m. 16-Jan-1890 in Corsicana, Navarro Co., TX to John D. STORY, brother of James Albert STORY. She died 22-Apr-1933 in Angus, Navarro Co., TX
11. "baby girl", b. 19-Dec-1872 in Dresden, Navarro Co., TX & d. 29-Dec-1872 in Dresden
I'm interested to learn more and/or anything about Katie's parents and siblings.
