i am not sure if this will help you, but these are the family of Mary Elizabeth Jackson bn Va
This info came from Mark Hall who sent this in response from several searching on Genforum.
Mary Elizabeth JACKSON , daughter of Charles JACKSON ,
She Married John Moon bn 1791 Va 19 JAN 1826 in Nottoway County , VA .
They moved to Macon ,Georgia ,
then to Crawford County , GA then to Houston County , GA and were enumerated
on the 1830 Houston County census page 278 . They later moved to Marion
County , GA , then Talbot County , GA , then Russell County , AL and finally
settled in Macon County , AL . John MOON received land in Macon County
for his service during the WAR of 1812 . This land was the West 1/2 of NW
1/4
of Section 31 , Township 17 , Range 25 East , containing a little over 77
acres .
Mary E. JACKSON
Her father died when she was about 5 and I have some
of the probate and guardianship papers . Her mother must
have died before her father because she is not mentioned
in these records . These are difficult to read .These records
are in Nottoway Co., VA Will Book 4 pages 122,124,125,&
408 .1815 Nottoway Court Order Book page 250 .
1816 Nottoway Court Order Book pages 325 & 389 .
Nottoway County Deed Book 4 page 463 .
Mary was the youngest child . Her siblings were :
John JACKSON , George Williamson JACKSON ,
Ann S. JACKSON , Lucretia Parham JACKSON ,
Charles Osborne JACKSON , Phillip JACKSON &
Burwell A. JACKSON . I am not sure but I think she had
two more siblings that were adults in 1815 . They were
Daniel J. JACKSON & Martha JACKSON wife of Stephen
JONES . If they weren't her siblings they were related
somehow . Mary's guardian was William BRIDGEMAN . >>
Maybe Carter Jackson was a descendant of Charles or one of his Family??? Since Jackson's were there also.
