My ancestor, William Deason born 1817, NC was listed in the 1840 Macon County, Alabama census records. He married Mary Rosa? Since all of the children were born in Alabama, starting about 1835, I wonder if William Deason and Mary Rosa were married there. Is there a marriage record index where I can check to see when they were married, and what Mary Rosa's maiden name is? I have been searching for her maiden name for years. Any Suggestions?
Forget the CD's by Genealogy.com, they are worthless.
