Looking for info on William A. Wells, born abt. 1811 in Georgia. William was married to Louisa ?, born abt. 1816 in Georgia. They had the following children:
John Wells, born abt. 1834.
Joseph Wells, born abt. 1837.
James L. Wells, born May 20, 1839, died Feb 4,1885, married Martha Lucius.
Salina Wells, born abt. 1844.
Archibald C. Wells, born Feb 29,1848, married Margaret Todd.
Samuel G. Wells, born abt. 1854.
This family was in Merriwether Co., GA, for the 1850 census. William and Louisa were in Macon Co., AL, for the 1870 census, as were James, John, Joseph, Archibald and their families. James and Archibald were in Chilton, County, AL, in 1880. I have not been able to find any of them in the 1860 census.
Any further info would be greatly appreciated.
