School Graduation Question

I have a question about what constituted high school graduation in Lowndes County in 1920, ie, was it passing 11 grades, passing a test, etc.?

My mother was born outside Fort Deposit on a farm in 1902. She became a teacher in Monroe County in, roughly, 1920. As I understand it, a good student could become a teacher, without further training, at that time.

Her name was Rosa Virginia Parmer, daughter of Benjamin Franklin Parmer and Maggie Virginia Smith. Does anyone know how I might research her high school record?

Many thanks for assistance
