I am wondering if there is anyone outthere that has information on a William Perry Attkisson.
William Perry Attkisson married Susan Lucile Sullivan, born 1813 in SC. Supposedly, William Perry Attkisson was born in Va., but migrated to Al., BEF 1830. There have been no records found as to date of birth, where born and name of parents or siblings. Likewise, Susan Lucile Sullivan supposedly was born 1813 in SC., but no record of where in SC., name of parents or siblings.
William Perry Attkisson and Susan Lucile Sullivan had 12 children: John Rochester born 31 Aug 1835; Taylor; James; Tommy; Warren; Martha; Maggie; Mary Jane born 14 Jun 1845;Sallie Sarah; James Henry born 1851; Millard Gaine Filmore born 19 May 1852; William Joseph born 1 Dec 1857.
There is some speculation that William Perry Angus may have migrated to Limestone County, Al BEF 1835 based on the birthdate of first son John Rochester Attkisson born ABT 1835. The exact year this family moved to Tn., has not been established, but Giles County, Tn., Census 1960, 1970 indicate family was in Giles County during this time frame.
William Perry Attkisson is not listed on the 1870 Census.
Susan Lucile Sullivan Attkisson is listed as head of household on the 1870 and 1880 Census. She is living in Maury County, Tn., in 1880.
