Seeking the origin / parentage of William T. Askew who appears in the 1860 census of Russell Co., Alabama and the 1870, and 1880 census of Lee Co., Alabama. The middle initial T may stand for Thomas.

William was apparently born in Georgia about 1820, and about 1850 married Matilda unknown, born Georgia about 1830.

William and Matilda Askew had the following children:
