I am just beginning my research and am in need of some help. I am Jonathan Gilmore (age 30), great-grandson of Arthur and Ethel Gilmore. I am looking for their parents (and any additional information on them as well). Here is what I have so far:
Arthur Lee Gilmore, born May 2, 1893 (in Alabama), died Sep 11, 1938 (at age 46, in Louisiana). He was drafted for WWI and his draft information states he lived in Lee County, AL at the time.
Ethel Gilmore (exact birth and death dates unknown). She was, however, born in 1903.
They had 2 children:
Cathleen Gilmore, born 1926, died in 2007.
James H. Gilmore (my grandfather), born July 6, 1928 (in Alabama), died July 9, 2007 (in Collins, Missouri). Before moving to Missouri, they lived in Louisiana (which is where his father, Arthur, died).
James H. Gilmore and his wife, Virgina Gilmore (Forrest)(she died in 1977 in Kansas City, MO) had 4 children: Janice, James H., John S. (My father), and Michael.
