My Gr Gradfather inlisted for the Confederacy in Loachapoka Alabama in 1862. It's either in or close to Lee Co. Oh boy i hope that means i have kin there being that my Gr Grandfather's name was Crowel Fraser (C.F. ) Lee. He served under Cpt. Edward Croft in the Columbus unit Lt. Artillery battery.
He was Captured in Blackley Georgia at what battle i don't know yet. Sent to POW in Ships island Mississippi and paroled in Meridean Mississippi. Then he came back to Alabama. wow .
any help would be appreciated thanks.
