I am searching for information on Davis Scoggins and Elizabeth Rogers who married in 1820 in Putnam County, GA. They later moved to Lawrence County, AL where Davis was a schoolteacher. I find him in the 1850 census with his family. By 1860 I find and E.T. Scoggins but with some of the same children so I have assumed it is Elizabeth due also to her age. Does anyone know what happened to this family? I don't know who Elizabeth's parents are. Davis' parents are Alexander Scoggins and Mary Gresham. Davis and Elizabeth's children appear to be: Alice, James, Rudolph, William, Wiley, Martha, Arabella, John and Young.
