Porter Rivers Craig born March 4, 1847, Mississippi, died June 14, 1913 in Tillatoba, Tallahatchie Co, MS. He married his first cousin Nancy Emily Craig November 22, 1872 in Lawrence Co, AL. She was born about 1844 in AL. They are in the 1900 census for Yalobusha Co, MS.

He was the son of Harvey Craig and Mary D. "Polly" Montgomery. She was the daughter of John P. Craig and Martha L. "Patsy" Montgomery. Harvey Craig and John P. Craig were brothers. Martha L. "Patsy" Montgomery and Mary D. "Polly" Montgomery were sisters.
