Does anyone know what happened to Jessie Tollison and Matilda Jane Norton? They had a son, Lee, who was living in the house with his grandfather, Jacob L. Norton, in Lawrence County, AL 1880. Lee's wife was Tennessee and they had two daughters, Maggie, 5, and Blanche, 4 months.
Matilda Jane Norton Tollison was living in the house with her father, Jacob L. Norton, in 1850. I assume Jesse had either died or left her at that time. I haven't found her since 1850.
In 1900, there is an L. L. Tollison who is living in Lawrence County, Mt. Hope, which is where the Nortons had lived since coming to Lawrence County in 1819. He has a younger wife to whom he had been married 8 years and four small children.
