Am seeking information on a Humphrey Montgomery, born about 1810 in TN, married Tennessee Pinkson, 1841, in Lawrence County, Alabama. By 1842 they were in Itawamba (now Lee) County, MS. Their children were William, James, Robert, Mary Indiana,Henry Clay,Franklin,and Jane.
Humphrey Montgomery and his family were listed in the 1850 and 1860 census of Itawamba (now Lee) County, MS, living near Richmond, MS. By the time of the 1870 census, Tennessee "Tina" Pinkston Montogmery was living with her son, William P. Montgomery and his family, and was listed as a widow.
Who was this Humphrey Montgomery, and who were his parents?
