Hoyt, i just found out that the Gilbreath's mentioned in the book are some of mine. thanks to one of my family contacts, through one of his.
the " old man Brack" Gilbreath was John Brackenridge Gilbreath, he was my great-grandmother, Nancy Gilbreath Campbell's brother. the Prue Gilbreath was his son, Oliver Prue Gilbreath.
Brack married Mary Ann Williams, dau. of Oliver Perry and Sarah Adaline Hammett Williams.

Brack and Mary's children's were:
Oliver Prue.....married Sarah ( Sary) Spillers
Joicey Armanda......married Millard Spillers
Sherman Washington
Emma Ophelia
Ida May
John Rufus
