Carolyn, On my map software, there is a Pool (historic) shown in Lawrence Co, AL. It is in the Bankhead National Forest, so I don't think anyone would actually be living there now. There is a cemetery there, according to the software.

On a present day map, Pool is about 6 miles southwest (at a 45 degree angle) from the junction of State Road 157 and State Road 36, which is Speake, AL. Pool is about 8 miles due west of the junction of State Road 157 and County Road 55, Penn, AL. To pinpoint Pool exactly, it is at the junction of Lawrence County roads 84 & 76.
