Looking for information on Sarah E. Melton. Sarah was born Feb. 1860 in Westpoint, Lawrence or Wayne, Tennessee. I am not sure. I don't know who her mother or her father was. Sarah had a son named Lester in 1890 and a son named Lenard Snow Melton (my grandfather)in 1891 in Iron City, Tennessee. Everyone called my grandpa "Snow".
Sarah Melton married Joseph S. McGee aka Austin McGee in Wayne, Tennessee in 1898. I don't know who Austin's mother or father was.Would like to have family info. on Austin, also.
They had a daughter named Mary Ann McGee in 1898.
In 1900, they lived in Wayne, Tennessee.
In 1910,they lived in Blackburn, Lauderdale, Alabama.
Mary Ann McGee (also went by Annie) married James Patrick.
Lenard Snow Melton married Bessie Morella Lard Looney (my grandmother) in 1923. Grandmother died in 1943 and grandpa "Snow" died in 1964 in Lauderdale County, Alabama.
