Looking for any information on John Lindsey, born 1834 in Lauderdale County, AL.
He fought for the Union in the First Alabama Cavalry, where he was promoted to sgt.
Married Margaret Ingram in 1854 (her parents, Charles and Margaret Ingram) also lived in Lauderdale Co.
The family lived mainly in Lauderdale Co and Hardin Co, TN.
John died in 1869 in Memphis, from the effect of smallpox contracted during the war.
Any information, especially the name of his parents, greatly appreciated!
