Looking for informatino on William E MANLEY (MANDLEY) and his wife Zane CRUNK. W. E. MANLEY (also spelled MANDLEY, MANDLY, and MANLY) lived in Florence, Alabama in 1880. He served as a watchman at a mill, and I believe this was due to the fact that he had lost an arm in the Civil War. Since W. E. MANLEY died September 14, 1890, I suspect he might still have been in the Florence area at the time he passed away.
W. E. MANLEY (1839-1890) was born in Alabama. His wife Zane (also Zona and Jane) CRUNK was also born in Alabama in 1843, and she died in Birmingham in 1905. W. E. MANLEY and Zane CRUNK had 6 children, Robert (1867-?), John (1869-?), Mark (1874-?), Minnie (1877-?), Maud (1879-?), and Margaret (1884-1946).
Margaret MANLEY married John Thomas MEREDITH, Senior (1873-1944), also an Alabama native.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
