Her remains were carried hom and interred in the family plot in the cemetery at New Hope Church. She lived a devout Christian life, being a life-long member of the Methodist Church. She had been in feeble health for some time before her death.
It was not known exactly how old she was, the record of her age having been destroyed when she w a child. But she could remember being told that she was born in the old hundred, or before the year 1800, which woyuld make her more than 94 years old at the time of her death.
