Obit in The Lamar Democrat May 28, 1964
Funeral services for Mrs Ethel Sherrill, age 91, were held Saturday at 3 PM from the Unity Grove Methodist Church near Palmetto. Rev W H Killen officiated with Dowdle Funeral Home in Millport in charge of arrangements.
Mrs Sherrill died at a nursing home in Gadsden where she had resided for the past nine years. She was the wife of the late Rev Clyde Sherrill.
Surviors include three daughters, Mrs Vera Lavender of Millport, Mrs Emman Northington of Columbus MS, Mrs Maude Harris of Jasper; two sons Guy Sherrill of Huntsville and Rev Arlie Sherrill of Birmingham; one sister Mrs Virginia Johnson of Atlanta GA.
