Obit in Lamar Democrat March 26, 1964
Mrs Eunice Falkner Dees, of Vernon, died at the Lamar County General Hospital at 12:28 Sunday morning. She was 65 years old.
Funeral services were held from the Pin Hook Methodist Church, south of Vernon Monday at 2 PM with John Atkins and James F McCullough officiating. Burial was in the family lot in the adjoining cemetery with Brock's Brown Service of Vernon directing.
Mrs Dees sustained a broken hip February 19. The wife of L H "Hob" Dees, who is employed by the town of Vernon, Mrs Dees was a member of the Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Mr & Mrs Dick Falkner and the granddaughter of the late Judge and Mrs Burrel Falkner.
Pallbearers were nephews; Ray Rainwater, Banks, Taft and Cecil Faulkner, Dorris ad Davis Mordecai.
Survivors include; her husband, L Hobson Dees of Vernon; one daughter Mrs Glenn (Sybil) Tucker of Brighton MI; one son Howard Dees of Birmingham; two granddaughters Joyce and Kathy Tucker; one grandson David Dees; one sister Mrs Margaret F Rainwater; an uncle Burrel Falkner of Fernbank; an aunt Mrs Steenie Stephens of Columbus MS; several neices and nephews.
