(A breif tail of our family history)
The Higdon's had an adventurous history moving in covered wagons pulled by oxen from the Cherokee Territory, and mountains of North Carolina, thru Alabama to Texas. In Texas the Higdon's broke wild horses for the U S Army when they were chasing Fancisco "Poncho" Villa and his raiding parties back and forth across the Mexican border. When the U S Army started using Ford trucks, the Higdon's lost their lively hood, and so started a trek back to the Carolina's.
This reunion is sponsored by the group that broke off, and settled in West Alabama those many years ago.
