Alcie,
I have a Samantha Osborn as a daughter of Nancy Osborn. I am a descendant of Nancy's brother William. I was in cintact with a descendant of Nancy who said she never married. You can find her messages on this board and under the Osborn message board. Her name is Dorothy Baumbaugh. Anyway, if this is the same Samantha, she had a brother Joseph and a sister Roxie/Roxy/Roxa.
Nancy is the daughter of Joel Osborn (later changed to Ausborn) and Mary Massengale/Massingale. Joel and Mary were married in Troup Co. Ga in 1830. They had 2 children (I think) in Ga. 1 in Al. and the rest in Itawamba Ms. I can not find any death date/burial etc for Joel and Mary however they were on the 1880 Lamar census.
In 1860 they were in Marion Co Ms which is where my William remained and also his brother Julius. I am awaiting some descendant info now as what I have is sketchy (except for my direct line). In 1850 you can find Joel and Mary in Itawamba Ms with 9 of their 10 kids. Let me know if this fits in with what you have. If you prefer you can e-mail direct to DBOLL1116@aol.com
