KAY, John was born in Alabama and Mary was born in South Carolina.I believe Johns' Father was Nathan McDanal, Nathan was the first preacher of Mount Hebron Church.I think Nathans' headstone has died in 1849. My Ancestor William White owned the land where the Church, Cemetery is.If you haven't done so, several libraries in Jefferson County have the book "LEEDS, HER STORY" It has stories and pictures of alot of the families that lived Cahaba Valley in the 1800s.
