I am looking for any information on Dennis Hawkins b. 1794 in Georgia. He was in Jefferson Co., AL. by 1830 and owned property near Williamson Hawkins. It is also said he was a brother of Nathaniel Hawkins who lived in St. Clair Co., AL. It is possible he was a son of Edward Hawkins. According to the census, Dennis father was b. VA. & his mother b. S.C. Dennis married Elizabeth Campbell in Jefferson Co., AL. 4 Jan. 1830. Their children were Edward, William & July Ann. Dennis married 2nd Mary McDonald in Blount Co., AL. 23 Sep. 1842. Their children were Daniel Young b. 1843, Mary Elizabeth b. 1845, Uriah b. 1848, Dennis Henison b.1850 and Martha J. b.1854. If you have any information on this family please contact me. I'm especially interested in proving his parentage. Thanks in advance for any help.
