I made a real bad error in my above posting when I wrote that John Hawkins married Margaret Walker,1835 in Jefferson Co., Ala., then, followed with calling him John "Walker"!!!!!, instead of "Hawkins" as it should have been.
It was John M. Hawkins that is listed on the 1850 census of Chickasaw Co., MS. living very near Samuel Hawkins whom I believe might be the father of John M. Hawkins. See how badly I need help?
