Samuel Hawkins who was on the 1830 census of Jefferson co., Ala. had several land dealings with Williamson Hawkins, in 1832, They were close to the same age and both were born in SC. and both were in the North Georgia before 1809, Williamson went to Tennessee then to Jefferson Co., and Samuel came to Blount Co., where several of his children were born, then was in Jefferson Co., 1830 until in the late 1830s. In 1842 there was a deed in Jefferson co., Where Samuel Hawkins of Chickasaw Co., MS. sells land to William Brown, Sr. S 5, T 17, R 3W. .
I believe these two were brothers. Also, Williamson Hawkins names a son Samuel (after his brother?) I would appreciate any other thoughts on this. Thanks.
