I am trying to find relatives of William M. Pickett, wife Verbel McKelvin Pickett, of Jefferson Co. William served in the First Alabama Voluntary Infantry Co. L and later transfered to Co. H, U.S. Army, in the Spanish American War and is believed to be a direct decendent of General George E. Pickett.
