Time Capsule Gibson Elementary School Woodlawn

I graduated from Gibson Elementary School in Woodlawn in 1959 and went on to Woodlawn High. I am working on family history. I remember attending a ceremony held in front of Gibson in the early 1950s where a picture of Mr. Pogue was presented. The picture later hung over the marble water fountain in the front hall across from the library. At that ceremony a time capsule was placed. A friend told me that he remembers his class preparing papers to be placed in the capsule. I cannot remember if it was a 50 or 100 year time capsule. I cannot find anyone else who remembers this. I sent an email to the current principal at Gibson, the superintendent of Birmingham City Schools, and the Birmingham Library. No one remembers this. I hope someone can remember or lead me in the right direction.
