I have been tracking one of those stubborn ancestors who like to hide themselves every step of the way when you are looking for them. In this case I can not find the burial locations of my great great Grandfather Dr. William A. Brown and his 2nd wife Elnora (Nora) Brown.
Family memories are that they had moved to the Birmingham area sometime around 1912 and that Nora died either after the birth of her last child Ruby Brown on the 12th of Sept 1912, or possibly a year after.
Dr. Brown passed away about a year or two later, possibly from an infection after he self administered a snake bite and it became infected and he passed. Neither of these two I can find any records of. Does anyone know if the Public Library has the microfilms of the old obituaries from the newspapers from the years of 1912 to 1915?
I am hoping to find their burial location as I think I will also find the Doctor's 1st wife, ans two sons who dies around 1897 in Butler County Alabama, buried in a family plot there. The children growing up would not talk about these two as Dr. Brown's 2nd wife was his eldest son's wife. The son having died in Butler Co in 1897. Dr. Brown and Elnora had 4 children of their own. Elnora had 3 older children, (Dr. Brown's grandkids) from her marriage with Dr. Browns eldest son.
Can anyone help to point me in the right direction to find more information on these two. I do not have a date of birth, nor do we have a cemetery name where they might be buried. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
