Joe,
In the 1850 Census of Jefferson County, I find Hugh Armstrong, age 30, and wife Clarissa, age 29, living next door to Henry Armstrong, age 22, wife Elizabeth S., age 18, and daughter Sarah E., age 1.
There are a few other Armstrongs in Jefferson County at that time but they don't seem to be related to these Armstrongs.
