Seeking information on Hugh Armstrong of Jefferson County. He was my gggrandfather, was born Dec. 9, 1818, married Margaret Thompson September 28, 1862. They had one daughter Nancy Elizabeth Armstrong born July 25, 1863. Hugh enlisted in Co. G, 18th Alabama Infantry Regiment November 11, 1863; was captured at Missionary Ridge, TN and sent to Rock Island, Illinois Federal Prison where he died January 12, 1864. Appreciate any information on Hugh's ancestry, his siblings and their descendants, etc.
I am seeking information on my gggrandfather Hugh Armstrong born December 9, 1818 probably in Alabama. He married Margaret Thompson, September 28, 1862. Their only child, Nancy Elizabeth Armstrong was born July 25, 1863. They were living in Jefferson County. Hugh enlisted in Company G, 18th Alabama Infantry
