Obituary as found in the Panama City News Herald, Panama City, Bay County, FL Dated: Dec 5, 1980:


Mr. James Ralph Eddins, 70, of Panama City, died Wednesday in Lake City, Fla. He was a resident of Bay County for 55 years coming from Dothan, Ala. He was a veteran of World War II and of the protestant faith. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lucille Eddins, of Panama City; four sisters, Mrs. Doris Kirvin, Mrs. Elinor Zimmerman, and Mrs. Lydia Shoemaker, all of Panama City, Mrs. Louise Abston, of Pell City, Ala.; four brothers, Mr. Otha Ray Eddins and Mr. Paul Eddins both of Panama City, Mr. Charlie B. Eddins of Troy, Ala. and Mr. Glenn Eddins of Ashford, Ala. Services are incomplete at this time but will be announced at a later time. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the American Cancer Society. The family will be staying at the home of Mrs. Aubrey Maloy, at 1607 Fairy Ave.
