The Georgia Flats or the Georgetown Flats between Eufaula and Georgetown

The Georgia Flats or the Georgetown Flats between Eufaula and Georgetown was the name once used for the area in the wide Chattahoochie River bed between Eufaula, Alabama (Barbour County) and Georgetown, Georgia (Quitman County) before the river was dammed in the 1960s. I'm hoping to find photographs of the area from the 1940s and 1950s. If you have any photos, or have an idea of how I might such, please reply to my message or send an email to jdarren@graceba.net. Thanks!
