Does anybody have any information about the Crawford family of Demopolis, Alabama. My Grandfather was Clarence Thames Crawford b.5/26/1905 Greensboro, Hale Co., Ala.- d.9/4/1994 Demopolis (married to Sylvia Mae Hayes). His father was Edgar Durrell (or Dorrell) Crawford (1/3/1882 - 2/28/1961), Edgar was married to Elma (or Elna) Thames (7/30/1878 - 12/25/1910). The Thames were from Perry Co. Edgar was a farmer and manager of the Baumgarten Plantation in Demopolis, Ala. Edgar and Elna are buried at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church near Gallion. I'd be grateful for any information about Clarence's and Edgar's antecedents.
