Hi,
I am of the Wedgeworth blood line also and I am looking for my grandfather James Monroe Wedgeworth family. He was born in Alabama maby Mount Olive community. His mother died after being burned. His father died of a fall. Their Christian belife was Premitive Baptist. He was married in Alabama to someone named Sally. Do not know maden name. They had several children Rilla, Elloit, Trilla, Mavolene, Travis, James. I think I found Rilla in a Mt. Olive Baptist Cemetery in Tuscaloosa. If so she was burried with her family name Wedgeworth. I was told she married a Stockton.
James Monroe had brothers and sisters Mattie, Newman, Fannie, James Wedgeworth. He also owned a restruant in Alabama when he was married to his first wife Sally, and for a short time was a member of an orginazation called Woodesmen of the World. He divorced Sally and moved to texas and married my grandmother in 1927. He passed away shortly after I was born in 1948,and is burried in Cisco, Texas next to my grandmother. I guess I was about 1 or 2 yr. old. My grandmother passed away in 1959. Her name was Lila Irene Perdue Wedgeworth. My mother is Reba Irene Wedgeworth Marcum, and I am Neva Wedgeworth Marcum Coker. I would like any information on this family line that I can get. My mother is in bad health and would like to know about her half brothers and sisters if possiable. My brother and sister would like to know everyone also.
Thanks Neva
