Reuben Wedgeworth, the son of William Wedgeworth junior & Elizabeth Blackwell, was born around 1810 in Abbeville, South Carolina. He came to Greene County, AL (now Hale Co.) around 1820 with his father & siblings. I very seriously doubt that at the tender age of 10 he was given any land. You must be confusing him with his father who did have land in Perry Co.AL which neighbors Greene Co. Reuben married MAry Finley in 1841 in Perry Co.AL. The family soon after moved to Jasper Co.,Miss. By 1860 Census he is in Smith Co.,MS.
